Research methodology
The standards LeadXkids applies to any original research or aggregated product and assessment data we publish.
Scope
These are the standards we will apply to any research or data we publish. This page does not describe a completed study.
Anonymisation and aggregation
We publish only anonymised, aggregated figures. We remove names, contact details and other identifiers, and we do not publish figures from groups small enough that a child or family could be identified.
Consent and privacy
Data is used only as described in our privacy policy and with the consent that policy describes. Children's data is handled with extra care.
Sample definition
Every published figure states who is included, how many responses it is based on, and how the group was selected.
Age bands and collection dates
We report the age bands covered (for example 8–10, 11–12, 13–14) and the dates the data was collected.
Representativeness and limitations
Data from LeadXkids users describes families who chose to use LeadXkids. Unless the sampling supports it, we will not present it as representative of all children in India, and we will state known limitations such as self-reporting by parents.
Observed data vs interpretation
We keep what the data shows separate from our interpretation of it, and label interpretation clearly.
Publishing the method
Each published dataset or report will include its methodology alongside the results. Published reports and research in development are listed on our research hub.
Requirements before publication
A project moves from planned to published only after its public reporting record includes:
- A confirmed consent and privacy basis.
- Inclusion and exclusion criteria, sample definition, age bands, geography and collection window.
- Missing-data rules, scoring definitions, aggregation thresholds and an anonymisation review.
- An analysis plan, limitations, review and approval.
- Validated final tables or figures and complete citation text.
